I maintain radio studios, transmitters, translators, STLs, satellite earth stations, remote controls and the many other cogs for this radio broadcast network with licensed frequencies in Nevada, Southern California, Utah, Idaho, and Montana, plus translators in several more.

Provide full technical support of a modern media production facility, including design, installation, service and customer support. This requires a broad range of responsibilities:-Maintain Avid Technologies systems: Media Composer (36), Newscutter, Interplay, Interplay Archive, SGL Flashnet, ISIS7000, iNews, Command, Airspeed Multistream, more.-Set up and support studios and auditorium for productions by configuring the production switcher (Sony MVS-6000), routing HD-SDI signals (Harris Platinum), aligning/shading cameras (Sony HDC1400R), configuring servers, configuring communications (ClearCom Eclipse), setting up and mixing audio (Yamaha O2R96), focusing lights (ETC, DeSisti), and much more.-Set up and support Fly-Pack field productions.-Repair a broad range of broadcast quality equipment.-Light sets and field shoots.-Maintain a 200 seat auditorium used for lectures and screenings with Crestron control, JBL THX Surround System, Christie projector, Peveay Media Matrix, and much more.-Train students and faculty on proper operation of equipment.Major accomplishments include:-Technical producer for the inaugural TEDxUNLV event (2014), coordinating all production activities, managing faculty, staff, students, volunteers and service providers that supported the production, and designing and implementing all production systems. Repeated in 2016.-Worked with Architects, Broadcast consultants, contractors, engineers, system integrators, faculty and administration, and a myriad of other entities to design, from the ground up, a LEED certified building for a future oriented journalim school with a modern media production facility, including two TV studios for UNLV-TV and three radio studios for KUNV-FM (2009).-Designed, installed and maintained an analog TV studio using older, broadcast quality equipment donated to the university by a local broadcast stations (2004).

Design, install and maintain Instructional Technologies, a televsion studio and a broadband (CATV) system.Major accomplishments include:-Designed, installed and maintained a second analog TV studio using older television technologies donated to the university or moved from an existing studio. At the same time, upgraded the main studio with new industrial grade equipment (1996).-Designed a unique video production system that allowed UNLV Education faculty and researchers to record and have live interaction with researchers in a co-located, operating gradeschool for the purpuse of guiding future teachers to properly work with At-Risk students.-Designed a highly integrated multi-media event wing for the UNLV Foundation Building using a modern DSP audio system and a uniquely programmed control system, allowing a wide array of multi-media sources to be used without the need for an engineer (2000).-Overhauled an abandoned mid-split broadband system formally used for networking and turned it into a fiber-based CATV system for distribution of local broadcast and cable television channels to the university campus with expansion to multiple new buildings that had been added over the past few decades (1998).

Design, build, install, and maintain control circuits and systems to control high-speed imaging cameras.Design, install and operated high-speed camera arrays (film and video) for development testing.Major accomplishments include:-Designed a complex 35mm and 70mm fixed camera array shooting at 100 to 250 frames per second using over 20 Photo-Sonics (http://www.photosonics.com) cameras. Part of the project included a custom electronic control system for which I designed the circuitry, tested for reliability in a challenging environment, built a large quantity of units and deployed them in the field (1992).-Integrated video cameras (some with high frame rates) with separate variable focal length telescopes onto tracking telescopes with existing film cameras (1990).
