About Václav Černý

As I have worked for the Czech TSO (Transmission System Operator) and at the company Doosan Škoda Power s.r.o., I have acquired comprehensive knowledge of operation of electricity transmission grid as well as operation of power plants with the focus on turbine halls. Results of the work have been of practical nature, of course. Yet, they have also been published in technical literature of international level. I am also capable to speak English as foreign language of advanced level. This ability is covered by the education as well.

  • Center For Applied Cybernetics, Czech Tso (Transmission System Operator)
    Senior Researcher
Center For Applied Cybernetics, Czech Tso (Transmission System Operator) Jan 2005 - Jul 2013
Czech Technical University In Prague, Karlovo Náměstí 13, 121 35 Prague 2
PROJECT "Reliability and Economy of Ancillary Services" - the work on this project consisted of research and development in the area of probabilistic and statistical modelling of electricity transmission grid operation from the technical as well as economical points of view. The activities included analysis of time series of the operation and consequent synthesis of models of the series. Finally, the whole model of the operation served for calculation of power reserves of ancillary services that are utilized for control of electricity transmission grid. The fundamental input of the calculation was the required reliability of grid operation. The SW codes Matlab and Simulink were employed for programming and implementation of developed models.
  • Center For Applied Cybernetics
    Junior Researcher
Center For Applied Cybernetics Jul 2000 - Dec 2004
Czech Technical University In Prague, Karlovo Náměstí 13, 121 35 Prague 2
Research and development in two areas: 1. non-linear observer and control design with usage of Lie algebra and differential geometry 2. filter design with usage of theory of linear dynamic systemsResults of the work were published in international scientific journals and presented at international scientific conferences.
