Hi there! I am a first year student studying the Bachelor of Biomedical Science. I strive for excellence in all my academic studies as well as activities outside of university. Throughout and at the completion of this degree I aim to be equiped with the skills and knowledge to enter into the health industry and become a health professional. My passion to be a dental practitioner keeps me motivated to continually strive towards my goals. I wish to become a dentist that is armed with the skills to provide the best patient care and satisfaction in various types of communities. I feel most drawn to contribute healthcare knowledge and services to rural and lower socioeconomic communities around Australia. My skills:- communication and patient care: interacting with patients of various backgrounds and knowledge levels. - problem solving and team work: working within a team in retail and a dental surgery, also solving problems with team members when they arise.- strong organisation, planning and time management: assisting practitioners to run on time with their appointments and readiness with equipment and materials for dental procedures. I believe that the skills listed above have been amplified and further developed through my role as a senior retail assist as well as my recent endeavours as a dental nurse. I am confident that with completion of B. Biomedical Science and further studies that these skills will allow for a smooth transition into the health industry. With critical industry related skills, knowledge and competency in the field up my sleeve.
