Overseeing of the procurement, fabrication and installation of the Tokamak Cooling Water System’s (TCWS) related mechanical equipment and piping. Management of manufacturing contracts and ensure a smooth integration of on-site activities for the related mechanical equipment/piping of the TCWS.Key Duties, Scope, and Level of Accountability:- Is Technical Responsible Officer (TRO) for the manufacturing contracts for manufacturing activities;- Prepares the technical specifications and tendering documents required for the procurement of the TCWS mechanical equipment/piping, and follows-up on the procurement process;- Collaborates with the supplier to define the best technical solutions during the detailed design, manufacturing of the components;- Follows-up on the manufacturing process by reviewing all supplier documentation, integrating updates from design and site construction, attending manufacturing milestones, coordinating between the Agreed Notified Body, the supplier and the ITER Nuclear-Non Nuclear Pressurized Equipment Network, etc.;- Assesses deviation requests and non-conformities and proposes solutions by minimizing their impacts on cost and schedule as well as on already designed, manufactured and installed components;- As TRO for manufacturing contracts, ensures technical interfaces between TCWS and all other stakeholders, both within IO and industry;- Prepares the Manufacturing and Delivery milestones review and makes sure that all identified issues are timely solved;- Issues inspection and observation reports for supervision activities during manufacturing;- Assures consistency among the mechanical and piping systems in installation phase and the engineering work packages issued by Engineering Departments;- Follows the resolution of non-conformances in related scope and responsibility;- Assists during testing and commissioning of components that are correctly installed and alerts line management when necessary.

Management and support of projects for the installation of supplied systems and complexes at the construction site, their commissioning in compliance with nuclear safety requirements and other legislative acts/laws in the territory of the European Union.Constant monitoring of contract requirements, objectives and performance against the criteria of technical specifications, while adhering to the reduction of the occurrence of risks in the work, which helps to avoid potential deviations and, as a result, distortion of schedule, scope of work and budget.Main functions:- prioritization of contractual activities;- maintaining of project schedules;- management of non-conformities and deviations;- development of technical specifications and installation programs;- reviewing of documentation at all stages of the project;- site visit inspections, supervising of installation and testing activities;- maintaining of constant communication between stakeholders;- interface management.

In 2009 Bochvar Institute was appointed as ITER strand reference laboratory to verify strand manufacturer test data.Duties and responsibilities: Composite material development- responsible for implementation of destructive tests (tensile test, hardness measuring, impact test, tribological test, twisting test) and non-destructive tests (conductivity measuring, visualexamination, ultrasonic examination);- metallographic examination (including SEM);- evaluation of design composite material assembly;- responsible for preparation of test reports and interpretation of received results;- experienced in the range of manufacturing processes and assembling of nanostructural composite materials;- planning and carrying out of scientific experiments;- experienced in the range of manufacturing processes of Nb3Sn strands for the ITER Project;- analysis of scientific literature about modern materials and technologies and compiling into a database;- issuing of scientific articles;- experienced in different of R&D on improving properties of composite materials and superconductors for the ITER project;- acceptance of the procured material in compliance with the technical specifications and acceptance of Material Certificates.
