My goal to build technologies, companies, and communities that incrementally reduce human suffering.Associate Director for Incubation and Acceleration for NYU Tandon School of Engineering supporting graduate student and faculty entrepreneurship.Lifelong student, practitioner, and teacher of the art taking of medical innovations from 0-1 in the hackiest and most efficient ways possible. I built and lead a healthtech venture studio at NYU's Future Labs around that same philosophy. We validate, refine, fund, and build teams around clinical innovations. My teams build FAST -- more than half enter clinical or animal pilots within 18 months of project initiation and secure funding from outside of Tandon within 6 months of graduating from the Venture Studio. If measured by convention fund metrics, our venture studio has maintained an IRR of ~60% over its initial 3 years and 15 funded teams. Before NYU, I was a 4x founder with 1 exit. Two of the mobility aides I developed have been in national retail and DME distribution and have helped thousands of people live with less pain. I've also licensed 5 of my consumer product designs to manufacturers. Volunteer mentor to healthcare and hardware companies at the Fort Worth and NYC Techstars accelerators.
