Working with MongoDB;● Using CloudFlare for speed optimization, minifying and SSL-certification of projects;● Building simple templates with keyframe svg-animations, using CSS3 and jQuery advantages;● Utilizing jQuery libraries, i.e. jQuery UI.This experience is a line-breaking for me as a web-developer. Everyone in the “codecraft” knows what does such a career period mean. It is a time when you are achieving understanding of fundamental basics on how the internet works. All the keystone routines, such as request-response cycle or OOP are fusing under the skin and the knowledge growth-rate is living its highest volume season. But with the exponential widening of basic skills comes a shock of how little they really are and how much of self-improvement lies ahead.Fortunately, when working on a quality and complex product, you always pointed to a demanding goals and getting a strong mentorship. For these things I’m very grateful to the team.

● Taking part in maintaining and developing a high load project with a vast amount of users;● Getting first impressions of server-side JavaScript and Node.js runtime environment;● Introduced to Express.js framework;● Getting used to asynchronous code, callbacks’ and promises’ practical aspects;● Learning ECMAScript 2016 JS specification;● First time using Sequelize ORM;● Implementing API, assisting with project migration from DDB to MySQL;● Expanding knowledge regarding AngularJS directives, controllers and routing;● Using SASS, Bootstrap 4 and flexbox to build advanced layouts;● Trying the advantages of Jade and Pug templating engines;● Learning how to use JavaScript task runners, i.e. Grunt;● Learning how to deal with miscellaneous JS-debugging pitfalls;● Configuring secured production Node.js server, based on Ubuntu and nginx with usage of server-side renewable SSL-certification.I shall recall December 2017 as one of the most challenging months of my life.On my web-developer path it was caused by charging a new layer of unknown, which was server-side JavaScript. It made me leave the coziness of PHP blocking synchronous code and face the event-based chaos of Node.js. Vertigos of asynchronous misunderstanding were rocking my pirate ship to the core.Nevertheless, thoughts of being a part of a great startup with a highly valuable social goal and the atmosphere of working with the splendid team are helping to keep myself organized and rock on through this storm.
