An experienced professional with more than 23 years in the technology industry, 12 of which have been as the principle network engineer for Colo Solutions, and 8 as Director of Technology. During that time I have been responsible for the Colo Solutions network through several design life cycles, (design and implementation, maintenance, and hardware replacement/upgrades). Aside from creating a redundant network in a critical environment, I have designed implemented and maintained systems to provide essential services such as network and facility monitoring, firewalls, corporate mail, and bandwidth metrics. I have also assisted in customer network migrations, hardware installation, and often provided a lead or supportive role in customer network rollouts. With a deep understanding of routing, switching, and security coupled with extensive experience with a many hardware providers equipment, I am able to rapidly learn, deploy and troubleshoot new equipment. My position has required interaction with all levels of customer, from the junior level to the executive level. As such I am able to explain complex technical issues in colloquial terms. Due to my varied experience, I am able to often offer unique perspectives in efficiently troubleshooting and offering innovative suggestions to accomplish stated goals as efficiently as possible.
