As a Ph.D. student in computer science and a graduate research assistant at the prestigious Viral Lab at Sabanci University in Istanbul, my academic pursuits are focused on the intersection of computational social science and social network analysis. My primary research interests include investigating individual and collective behavior and opinion dynamics in social media.I’ve recently turned my attention to the formation of belief embeddings and ideology on social media platforms, exploring the rise of polarization, conspiracy beliefs, and how they evolve through social networks. By analyzing complex data sets and leveraging advanced machine learning techniques, I’m constantly working to gain deeper insights into the intricate ways in which social media shapes our beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors.Through my work, I hope to help bridge the gap between computer science and social sciences, leveraging the power of data-driven approaches to better understand the complexities of the social world.
