I'm a Senior Staff Engineer at Outreach, a leading Sales Engagement platform that helps businesses grow revenue and customer relationships. I joined Outreach in early 2021 after completing my Master's in Software Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. At Outreach, I design & build the Sync infrastructure & features using technologies such as Go, Kubernetes, Kafka, Redis, etc, collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to ensure the quality, scalability & performance of the data sync platform. I've also been acting as the lead for a team of 2-4 engineers in multiple initiatives over the last two years, overseeing the execution and delivery of solutions.Before joining Outreach, I worked at athenahealth, a Healthcare SaaS company, where I gained experience in building web apps from scratch, and participated in every phase of the software life cycle. Going through this experience set me on a path to expand my proficiency across various practice areas in the field of Software Engineering, and served as a motivation for me to pursue graduate studies.Over the last 7 years of work ex, I've learned and worked with multiple tech stacks, from Perl to Node, Express, React, Vue to Go, gRPC, Rails, Kafka, Postgres, Redis, etc. I now work mainly in backend design & engineering, in the domain of data transformation & syncing across different systems.(Full Name: Vaithyanathan Narayanan)
