I have over 30 years of professional experience in the interpretive exhibit and publishing industries. I create illustrations for public aquariums, museums, and nature centers. My artwork has also been published in numerous books and periodicals. I illustrated, designed and coauthored "A Field Guide to Coastal Fishes: from Maine to Texas" (2011), and "A Field Guide to Coastal Fishes: from Alaska to California" (2016). I also illustrated "Field Guide to Fishes of Chesapeake Bay" (2013). Most recently, I co-authored and illustrated "Field Guide to Freshwater Fishes of Virginia (2019), and illustrated "Tunas and Billfishes of the World (2019). My work is also featured in folding guides, greeting cards, and posters at Earth+Sky+Water, and Quick Reference Publishing. Currently, I'm working on "A Field Guide to Coastal Fishes: Bermuda, Bahamas, and Caribbean Sea." This will be my fifth cover-to-cover book for Johns Hopkins University Press!I work closely with authors, curators, scientists, educators, and designers to develop original illustrations to accompany text, graphics, and photographs in a wide variety of media. I am also proficient in InDesign and Photoshop and have collaborated and designed numerous other materials including posters, brochures, flyers, and advertisement, etc.I most recently illustrated and designed "Tunas and Billfishes of the World," (August, 2019) and co-authored, illustrated and designed "Field Guide to Freshwater Fishes of Virginia" (September, 2019), both Johns Hopkins University Press publications. I absolutely love my work and will continue to contribute to new and challenging projects that help researchers, conservators, educators, students, and naturalists to serve the greater good.Specialties: illustrating marine subjects.
