The heart, brains and passion behind Heels and Valise Tours. Responsibilities include sourcing for clients, preparing packages, itineraries and tour costing. Obtaining and negotiating contract rates from hotels, lodges and other suppliers. Customer care and problem solving. Organizing responsible tourism engagement programs. Overseeing the general running of the tour business. Translating company texts from English to Spanish and English to Swahili. Overseeing the internship program. Managing the Spanish-speaking clientele.

My responsibilities include listening to and transcription of audio and video files. Presentation of transcription documents. Translation of documents from English to Spanish and vice versa. Translation of documents from English to Swahili and vice versa. Translations of documents from Swahili to Spanish and vice versa. Done translation and transcription work for different companies and organizations including Heels and Valise Tours, Hi Bolivia Travel and Tours, Research Plus among others.

- Overseeing and coordinating the group’s activities during my chairperson term- Organizing local youth forums on climate change and the environment.- Engaging in global 350.org climate change campaigns. - Proposal writing, fundraising and meeting potential donors and partners for 350 Kenya’s activities and campaigns. - Organizing a round table forum with the Ministry of Environment, Water and Natural Resources as a run up to the UN Climate Summit that took place in New York in September, 2014. - Co-organizing the 9th Youth Community Based Adaptation (Youth CBA9) Conference, coordinated by ACTS (African Centre for Technology Studies).

We are a youth organization that aims at sensitizing the youth and communities at large on climate change, its effects and mitigation. The group is made up of different youth groups that deal with environmental issues in different parts of Kenya. We are also working in collaboration with other youth networks across the globe.

This entailed leading a team of young people that planned the 5th National Youth Conference on Climate Change (NYCCC V). It included proposal writing, fundraising, logistics, venue selection and justificaition, communication, decision making, call for applications,participants selection.Unique aspect: We introduced a tracer study to the NYCCC V,which is our current task.

 As a member of various task forces, planning the network’s climate, policy-related and social activities. Representing the network in conferences and seminars where and when necessary. Carrying out ground activities such as meeting with donors and partners.
