I am the founder and co-director of Golden Aura, a yoga & wellness studio in Marion, Iowa. I am a passionate advocate for mental health awareness. I am also a survivor of complex trauma and support others in recovery. Personally and professionally, I practice, demonstrate and teach techniques for stress relief, relaxation, embodied awareness and connection. MY SERVICES, CLASSES & APPOINTMENTSI uniquely personalize and blend yoga, meditation, energy, sound and vibrational wellness practices to provide in-studio private appointments and small group classes, each week at Golden Aura. I teach children’s yoga, and private family yoga classes in-studio by appointment. I have 20+ years experience and immense dedication to working with children, individuals and families experiencing special needs, neurodiversity, mental health and mobility challenges. I am available in-studio for private Reiki energy healing appointments throughout the week. I teach Reiki training classes at Golden Aura several times throughout the year.COMMUNITY WELLNESS STRATEGISTAdditionally, I am a holistic educator, business consultant and community strategist. I design innovative programs aimed at cultivating resilient individuals, organizations and communities. I develop and facilitate on-site classroom and outdoor programming for schools, youth groups, sports teams, professional organizations and non-profit foundations by request. I also design and facilitate unique fundraising, promotional and team-building activities, events and programming. I have special interest in developing and facilitating therapeutic yoga classes and programs for survivors of SA/DV, human trafficking, addiction and suicide. I offer a 6 week class series for small groups and private yoga appointments - "Therapeutic Yoga for Survivors".
