Collaborating closely with NASA officials and scientists globally, I will organize and execute meetings and conferences that advance critical research in climate science and other environmental fields.Key Responsibilities:Event Planning and Coordination: Collaborate with stakeholders to define meeting objectives, parameters, and agendas, ensuring alignment with scientific goals and expectations.Project Management: Oversee all logistical aspects of meetings, including budgeting, scheduling, and compliance with government regulations for conferences and events.Vendor and Venue Management: Source meeting destinations, venues, and vendors; negotiate contracts to secure optimal terms and services.Hybrid Meeting Execution: Set up and actively manage hybrid meetings, integrating virtual platforms and AV equipment to create seamless experiences for both in-person and remote attendees.Technical Operations: Manage registration systems, abstract submissions for oral and poster sessions, and presentation materials; utilize office software and virtual meeting platforms effectively.Communication and Collaboration: Maintain ongoing communications with multiple established groups and mailing lists, fostering strong relationships and ensuring stakeholder engagement.Financial Management: Develop detailed meeting budgets, process invoices, and track all accounting to ensure financial transparency and adherence to best practices.
