Climate change and environmental policy professional dedicated to forge change towards sustainable development. With extensive experience and trajectory in government, international organizations, NGOs and as a consultant in project coordination, policy design, international negotiations, international cooperation management and fundraising in the fields of climate change mitigation, reduction of deforestation and biodiversity conservation. Key career achievements in environmental policy include the following: the signature of the flasghip Amazon Vision program to reduce deforestation, Colombia's 2020 NDC updated mitigation commitments, the definition of the Warsaw Framework for REDD+ at the UNFCCC, the rollout of Zero Deforestation Agreements for palm oil, beef and dairy, as well as the approval of several key climate finance projects for Colombia. All this through a combination of a deep knowledge of the issues, and negotiation and leadership skills at the technical and political levels.Thanks to my interdisciplinary training in geography, environmental policy, sustainability and conservation, I can analyze and integrate the environmental, political and socioeconomic dimensions to craft viable solutions to our climate, deforestation and biodiversity crises.
