I am a former journalist and editor based in South Africa with over 20 years’ experience in the industry.I have proved in the industry to be a fast learner and have worked on various programmes (computer) as technology improved. English and training has become a large part of my strengths at the companies I have worked for.Coming from a country with over 10 official languages means, you have to be willing to understand and train writers who are not necessarily first language English speakers. I have done so successfully for the companies Media 24 and Caxton. I have trained a number of journalists who went on to win awards and develop themselves into leaders as well. I have a passion for developing young minds and helping them grow into successful and contributing adults to society. I have also in the past year, expanded my knowledge digitally and have recently become a content creator for a fast-growing successful YouTube page. I have also assisted many local businesses grow their footprint as a result of my video editing skills.I am a fast learner and can adapt quite quickly to changing environments, as is the case with most South Africans.
