First and foremost, I love supply chains. Like a flawlessly executed magic trick, the outcome is delightful whilst the mystery around the execution makes you wonder how it all works. The most complex part is to turn every process into a series of simple steps leading to customer satisfaction. It is oddly satisfying to look at an operation and reflect on what could be changed in order to delight customers whilst ticking the company’s financial, cultural or strategic goals along the way.Over the past few years, my focus has been on managing intricate sites that were facing difficulties in a 3PL environment. From dangerous goods to FMCGs, I have gain exposure to a range of industries with specific challenges. Furthermore, the role of 3PLs in supply chains is multifaceted and as a result the challenges that arise can be quite complex. Whilst there are many ways to achieve objectives, my approach has always been on helping team members achieve their full potential and build dedicated, passionate and committed teams. The focus on people has been critical to improvements in quality delivered and end customer satisfaction. My teams and I have successfully turned two challenging distribution centres into significant profit makers. In both cases, the profit was more than doubled in less than two years and one received the highest distinction at Mainfreight; Branch of The Year.During this time, I have also had the opportunity to work on projects overseas and gain experience through travelling and working with team members around the globe. This knowledge has given me even more appreciation for the complexity faced by our customers when building their supply chain and has been essential in order to develop tailored solutions that create high performing, efficient and flexible networks.I enjoy meeting new people and hearing their perspective. Feel free to reach out if you are interested in the reasons that drive my passion, the strategic goals that I have set based on the circumstances I have been exposed to and the solutions that have been implemented in order to achieve expectations. I would be delighted to hear about what makes you tick.
