Valentina Savic is an artist and author with a strong academic background. She holds a doctoral degree from the Faculty of Applied Arts at the University of Arts in Belgrade, Serbia. She also specialized in ceramics at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Athens, Greece. Her works have been exhibited worldwide for over a decade. She is a member of the Association of Fine Artists of Applied Arts and Designers of Serbia and the International Academy of Ceramics. Her works often address actual applied-designed objects, interpreted into art-sculptural objects and vice versa. In her DA project, she researched both technological and conceptual discourse of the famous Vinca culture elaborating on neolithic ceramic discoveries using porcelain as a contemporary art and design medium. Valentina recently won the "Award of Excellence" at the "First World Ceramic Teapot Competition" in Yixing, China.Specialities: porcelain, art & design
