Hayat is a non-profit association founded in Bologna in 2017, with the aim of creating links between Europe, Italy and the main areas of migration globally. From Bologna to Gaziantep we develop projects to promote solidarity, the protection of civil and social rights and intercultural exchange for a more equitable, respectful and inclusive society. We design and implement non-formal education paths to anti-racism, active citizenship and rights; we organize intercultural and dissemination events.As President, I oversee the definition and implementation of shared strategic lines and external relations with stakeholders at every level. I also support and contribute to the activities of the association, in particular on issues such as intersectionality, disability rights and anti-discrimination.

Consultancy, training and participation in initiatives on disability issues and intersectionality, addressed to public administrations and Third Sector bodies, schools, informal groups, and private. My preferred approach is taken from Feminist Disability Studies.

I have conducted research on bioethics and international human rights protection issues and assisted in the drafting of scientific texts at the NRC Department of Bio-Law and Bioethics.

Within the project "MELODIA - Center for Memory, Education and the Fight for Women’s Rights", aimed at implementing and promoting innovative processes in support of active citizenship, empowerment and autonomy of individuals, through active involvement of the youth and women population, for the protection of women, LGBTI+ people and vulnerable social groups' rights. I served first at the Department of Citizenship Rights and Social Cohesion of the Municipality of Naples (dealing with people with migratory backgrounds, refugees, homeless, victims of trafficking, decentralised cooperation and combating gender-based violence); then, I assisted the Department of Confiscated Property, focusing on the social destination of goods confiscated from organised crime, for the benefit of minorities and vulnerable people. I mainly have carried out in this context community activities and youth engagement, events organization (including the Naples Pride 2019), administrative support and reporting, relations with institutions and stakeholders, as well as contents creation for institutional social media.

ONE is a global movement that strives to end extreme poverty and preventable diseases by 2030, so that all people, anywhere in the world, can lead lives in dignity and have access to equal opportunities. Through pressure on policymakers and campaign activities, ONE pushes governments to increase investment in the fight against extreme poverty and preventable disease, especially in Africa. I took part, as one of the 40 Italian Ambassadors and hundreds worldwide, in advocacy and lobbying campaigns at the national and European level: from the Municipalities to the Italian Chamber of Deputies and Senate, via the European Parliament in Brussels and the Italian and French Ministries of Foreign Affairs. At the same time, I organized awareness events in several high schools, both in Puglia and in Campania, meeting over 500 students and collecting signatures for petitions.

I took part in the intergovernmental diplomatic negotiations of the resolutions, in the plenary and sectoral meetings of the United Nations, drafting notes for the diplomats of the Mission, in particular in occasion of the 11th session of the Conference of States Parties to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (COP11 CRPD) and the annual segment of ECOSOC Humanitarian Affairs.

I conducted research on nationalism, terrorism, radicalisation and violent extremism, alongside the work of the related Working Group. I have written documents and reports about the issues of various committees and conferences taking place in the European Parliament, as well as I co-organised the seminar "United against hate and fear".
