I am a labor economics expert in employment discrimination and wage and hour litigation matters. Clients in numerous industries rely on me as a consulting and testifying expert in both class action and single-plaintiff engagements. My practice includes cases filed under federal, state, and international statutes and government investigations from federal agencies such as the EEOC and OFCCP and state agencies such as California’s Civil Rights Department (CRD). My experience in wage and hour matters covers the full range of potential federal and state wage and hour violation allegations, such as off-the-clock work, regular rate of pay, meal periods, rest breaks, FLSA misclassification, and California PAGA matters. I design and conduct audits of hiring, leveling, compensation, promotion, performance reviews, pay transparency, and other employment practices. I also assist clients with internal and ESG public disclosures related to pay equity and pay parity. I am particularly interested in applications of Artificial Intelligence tools in employment decisions to ensure that companies realize the full potential of these powerful and exciting technologies in fulfilling their equal opportunity and diversity goals.
