Developed an ebook strategy for ECI, the book webshop of Novamedia. Set-up strategic partnerships.

(Single) founder, majority shareholder & CEO of TenPages.com, one of the largest recent innovationsin the Dutch trade book publishing industry. TenPages.com was a crowdfunding & publishing agency that attracted 2.500 authors and had 23.000 people invest in these authors through a crowdfunding platform. We worked together with more than 40 publishing partners. Our rmissions was to (1) establish a high quality, but easy accessible way to publish your own book with an established publisher, and (2) restructure the publishing value chain so that authors could receive higher royalty percentages and create more products related to their book (e.g. an app, events etc.).Unfortunately, the business model had not generated sufficient revenues to grow sustainably, which led to my taking the decision to quit the copany beginning 2014. • Proprietary website (custom development);• Management of team of 9 (incl. interns);• Attracted more than 2.500 authors and 23.000 consumer investors;• Over 400 media items on TV, on the radio, in magazines and in newspapers;• Several awards and nominations, such as the Accenture Innovation Award, sev. entrepreneurship awards and communication awards.

Define and implement Albumprinter's web & online strategy: attract qualitative traffic from online marketing channels by initiating and optimizing the mix of these channels (SEO, SEA, affiliates, online bannering) with strong focus on ROI. Manage the Albumprinter website team (8 FTE) in order to develop and maintain Albumprinter websites (Albumprinter, Albelli, Hema, Monoprix etc) for optimal conversion & retention rates. Launch of 4 foreign websites during my service.

Head of workgroup for e-book strategy: development of strategic plan for launch of e-book sales department, in cooperation with the largest trade book publishing company in The Netherlands (NDC | VBK).

Define the product group strategy and promotion/project year plan. Initiate improvement of catalogue offering, coordinate purchasing, improve website navigation (e.g. through the implementation of a new search and browse tool). Development of the core positioning and messaging for the product group, on site and through other marketing channels (digital newsletter, partnerships, SEA, catalogue, tv campaigns, etc.). Monitor and improve visits, conversion and sales of the bol.com English book shop.

Develop, manage and deliver the strategy for press relations, business relations and business partnerships for the three language editions of the interior/art magazine Objekt (French, English, Dutch). Strengthen the Objekt brand by participating actively in international industry activity (trade fairs, exhibitions).
