As an Asylum Officer at USCIS, I am dedicated to evaluating asylum seekers' claims to determine their eligibility for protection in the United States, ensuring the integrity of our nation's immigration system. I utilize my expertise in interviewing and adjudication to make sound decisions while maintaining national security and combating fraud.Previously, as a Closeout Specialist at COR3, the Central Office for Recovery, Reconstruction, and Resiliency, I worked with multiple federal agencies and local stakeholders to ensure the effective and timely closure of disaster recovery projects in Puerto Rico. I applied my expertise in compliance and fair housing laws to review and validate the documentation and data of each project and to resolve any issues or discrepancies that arose.I am also pursuing my second MBA in Finance at Ana G. Mendez University, where I am enhancing my communication, time management, and research skills. I completed an MBA in Management and Strategic Leadership, made progress towards a JD from Inter American University School of Law, and earned a BA in Criminal Justice with Criminal Investigation.
