Complete renovation of an apartment near the WTC in Bogotá. The apartment’s characteristics presented unique challenges due to the building’s over 40-year age, with many structural issues, and noticeable tilt from foundational settling. By renovating the ceiling, painting walls, expanding and connecting the kitchen area with the living and dining areas, installing a new kitchen, and adding other finishing touches, we achieved the clients' goal: to transform an older apartment into a space with modern touches, a sense of openness, and improved natural lighting. The design process started by creating spatial concepts and visual presentations to align with the client's needs and expectations and developed unique design concepts through detailed sketches, technical drawings, and 3D renders using Rhino and Lumion. My role included managing various trades to ensure seamless project execution from start to finish, verifying compliance with building codes, by-laws, and regulations to support design decisions, and maintaining alignment with current standards. I completed a professional internship at a company primarily focused on architectural design and involved in construction projects. While there, I developed proficiency in Rhinoceros for 3D modelling and in V-Ray for rendering, I also gained experience using Lumion for 3D video production. My proudest moment at the company was when I was in charge of creating the furniture for the first-floor - reception area at the new campus of La Sabana University on the outskirts of Bogotá.
