Valérian started working with a small production company called ISODrone Productions in June 2022. • He joined in the recording of a dance show for a local Ballet Jazz dance school in Laval, then, as the editor, he made 3 different versions of the show for the company’s clients. These included preparing a ‘’making of’’ video and the creation of promotional material involving multi-camera editing and copious amounts of color correction and masking. In addition to giving him more experience in videography, this allowed him to better his editing skills, and his ability to denoise and improve raw video footage. • Another project involved using low grade footage and music to pay homage to an historical mansion in Mascouche. This project was a challenge because Valérian had to figure out how to make an artistic video while using footage of different resolutions and levels of quality, while creating an editing rhythm to harmonize the images with a soundtrack. Doing so, he bettered his talent for visual storytelling, learned how to process low quality footage through AI software to clean it and upscale its resolution, and did ample color correction. YouTube has had a big influence in my life. In brief, you could say I have been addicted to the platform since 2011. I have watched countless videos on that website, and have posted a few of them myself. YouTube is where I learn, practice and grow. Whenever I am not working freelance or chasing opportunities to find work as a videographer/editor, you'll find me either spending time with my family or working on a new YouTube video.Nowadays I have been getting results in the roleplaying games niche. If you visit my channel you'll see my best performing videos are those where I break down rules from table top roleplaying games. I guess I have a knack for boiling down complicated information and making it digestible. If you dig down further you'll find old videos ranging from very experimental and strange, to gameplay footage and videogame commentary, to videos talking about my favorite content creators. These were some formative years, and you'll see I have improved massively in the four years since I started the channel.

Goalcast is a company that creates viral content on social media platforms. In mid-march 2023, Valérianwas selected to join their four week long Creative Accelerator -a full-time paid program meant tochallenge candidates and make them grow as creatives. The second youngest member out of 9, Valérianfound the experience very enriching. He got to learn from the pros, and gleaned lots of tips for creatingcontent that draws-in clicks, appeals to mass audiences, and harnesses music to guide and enhance theaudience’s experience. Although the creativity of his editing was noted, as was his ability to integratefeedback, he was ultimately not deemed enough of a good fit to continue with Goalcast.• “While their choice came as a bit of disappointment, I am grateful that Goalcast gave me this opportunityas I learned a lot, and got to hone my editing and storytelling skills through this program. I am alreadyapplying the knowledge I gained there to my videos, and it felt motivating to see that although they tookthe safe route by not hiring me, they could clearly see my potential throughout.”

At MAtv, Valérian received 50 hours of training to join the pool of volunteer technicians. There, he waspart of the production team on multiple practice shows in the studio, and one location shoot for a vox-pop.After his training, he contributed to 3 additional live-to-tape-recordings before MAtv was forced to stop itsin-person volunteer program following the lockdowns. • During his time at the station, Valérian spent most of his time as a camera operator for the live-to-tape shows, where he showed his faculty for reframing quickly and working as a coordinated team with the other camera operators, and his sense for harmonious shot composition didn’t go unnoticed by the professional staff. He also learned how to install lapel mics and use calibration tones to set audio levels before a recording, and he had hands-on experience with professional equipment such as portable mixers, fully equipped studio cameras, and dynamic microphones.
