I am a third year engineering student studying Robotics. I am interested in using robotics and control systems to make a greater impact in the health and safety of the community, and I am excited to explore the rapidly-growing possibilities of new robotic technology in product development.     I lead the ankle design group, responsible for designing a new mechanically powered ankle exoskeleton that will interface with a full body exo that can be converted between a hard and soft exo. I coordinate a group of 5 members to agree on final design decisions, consolidate CAD, get feedback from other teams, and present our designs and justifications in formal design reviews to students, professors, and industry professionals. We are completing final designs in January 2024 and will manufacture and test for the rest of the semester to prepare for the ACE competition in May.

    At STARX (Strength Augmenting Robotic Exoskeletons), we design and manufacture stress reducing exoskeletons intended to improve performance and endurance of first responders in emergency situations. After investigating joint movement and exo industry standards, I suggested improvement to a shoe cage prototype for a new exoskeleton design to maximize adjustability while maintaining structural integrity. I also redesigned a more ergonomic calf brace for an existing exo to improve user comfort and ease of don/doff.
