Valerie has a degree in philosophy from Penn State University. She has refined her problem-solving and interpersonal skills working as a TA and TA Administrator for Penn State's Environmental Science course. Here, she led a group of students and a group of TAs through the course with a compassionate and dedicated hand. She also coordinates and develops public programs for Shaver’s Creek Environmental Center, and by working with her team, engages the community to the environment and enhances connection. As a consultant at Rhoneymeade Arboretum, she helped organize and structure volunteer organization for enhanced communication and tracking. Her web design and advertising skills are utilized in their website development, social media marketing, and newsletter promotion monthly. Her passion for critical thinking and team building shines through in every area of her life. She was team captain for her competitive Esports team at Penn State. She boosted her teammates' morale and streamlined communication to enhance her team's performance. She is interested in creating environments that are cohesive and conducive to the betterment and growth of everyone involved. Relationships are the basis of our lives, and Valerie seeks to bring peace, balance, and joy to every engagement.
