Disability Manager
CurrentThe Disability Manager is responsible for advancing strategic policies and programs for people with disabilities in the City of Toledo and advising the Mayor’s Office and City Departments on the needs of residents with disabilities. The Disability Manager will create and promote programs that make the City of Toledo more inclusive, accessible and a great place to live as well as ensure that people with disabilities have a voice in City Government. This position will serve as the City’s ADA Title II Coordinator and ensure enforcement of the City’s ADA Transition Plan, which establishes a mandatory, coordinated process to construct capital and operational improvements for city facilities so they become accessible. Additional duties include enforcing relevant city ADA policies, responding to accessibility requests, reviewing grievances, and ensuring that residents with disabilities receive timely and appropriate constituent resources and referrals. The Manager will serve as liaison between City Government and the local community of people with disabilities.
