Accountable for supporting with day-to-day associate relations activities including managing the thorough investigation and response to associate concerns across Canada, managing legal claims and accurate updating of various reports and associate relations metrics including preparing quarterly trend analysis at the Home Depot.Key Responsibilities include: Working in partnership with leaders and associates to diagnose and resolve a variety of complex issues in the workplace, ensuring that all employment laws and policies are adhered to and while maintaining the company’s culture. Partnership with other HR Business Partners to conduct confidential investigations into complex and sensitive allegations of misconduct regarding employment law and other company policy violations in a thorough, diligent, and unbiased manner to protect the interests of the company and its associates. Providing advice and policy interpretation to internal HR Business Partners and other division/business and field leaders on a broad range of human resources and employment related matters and recommending appropriate measures to be taken regarding disciplinary actions and/or terminations of associates as a result of their investigation into allegations. Supporting with legal claim management and work in partnership with our Internal & External Legal Counsel to resolve highly sensitive and confidential employment related legal matters. Executing Associate Relations initiatives and special projects, consult with HR business partners, support launch of new policies and monitor completion. Providing analysis on key associate relations and employment trends and identify future actions as required. Identifying and sharing best practices and lesson learned across the Canadian Division. Assisting with the management of escalated associate concerns.
