• Assist on geotechnical field work of subsurface exploration up to 12 hours a day for drilling bore holes and test pits at various locations throughout South Carolina and North Carolina.• Perform multiple geotechnical lab tests on soil samples on a timely basis for reports including Atterberg Limit testing, sieve analysis, standard proctor test, and modified stone proctor test.• Monitor blasting of rock at multiple stations by setting up seismographs, accurately reading velocities and overpressure values, and keeping an organized and timely report of the blasts. • Perform construction materials tests of concrete, grout, and concrete masonry units, as well as assists on construction materials inspections in the field of rebar and concrete and grout pours.

Assist on inspections of footings, framing, insulation, plumbing and electrical features of newresidential houses to ensure structural integrity of a building aligned with the municipal codes.Understand and interpret roof truss diagrams to inspect proper bracing was applied to thecorrect the trusses of residential houses, commercial buildings, and new apartment complexes.Review engineering plans for subdivisions and new commercial buildings as well as reviewingsewer pipelines plans and the restoration process for pipes within the city.
