Valerio (JD, BA, MA, Ph.D,MSc) is Executive Chairman of the International Academy for Social and Economic Development (AISES),Executive Director of the Global Sustainability Forum of Rome; Former Secretary General at Diplomatia; President of the Mediterrean Forum of Rome, Visiting Professor at Center for Sustainability Leadership, and member of scientific committee, Strathmore Business School, Nairobi. Former Director of the International Relations Department at Fondazione Luigi Einaudi Onlus; Director of Global Security and Foreign Affairs Program, Center of American Studies with AISES. Co-director of the “Sustainable Finance and Market Regulation Project” at La Sapienza University of Rome, and Co-director of the“Profit-Non Profit Partnership for Sustainable Development Project” at Tor Vergata University of Rome.President of the Advisory Board of Diomira Foundation,Nairobi, and member of the Scientific Committee of Fondazione Roma Sapienza – Cooperazione Internazionale and Fondazione Bruno Visentini.Valerio holds a laurea degree magna cum laude in Law (J.D.), laurea degree in Political Sciences (BA) from University of Rome La Sapienza, and a laurea degree magna cum laude in Economics (BA) from University Niccolò Cusano. Ph.D. in Competition Law from the University of Perugia and obtained a Master degree magna cum laude (MA) from University of Rome La Sapienza. He completed his legal and economic studies at Harvard University, Yale University, UCLA and University of California, at Berkeley. Valerio was Faculty Research Fellow of the Information Society Project at Yale Law School and Visiting Fellow at Law Department, LSE. From 1998 is a member of Italian Bar Association. In 2001 Valerio was admitted in the trainee program at the DG Competition of the European Commission.From 2006 to 2012 he worked at CONSOB,Italian financial authority, as special adviser to the Chief of Issuer Division.
