My role in the past was as an IT Software developer and I work for big company in my country as well as in countries in Europe/North America to develop business component with high performance. One of my component runs 3 digit million of transactions per day because was related to charge back process of mobile telecommunications and integrate telco infrastructure (OSS) with business system (BSS). Over the year I move from IT Development to IT Strategy and Cloud adoption. My role now is focus on Cloud Advisory & FinOps.When the world was still not DevOps oriented, I was managing a development team of a peak over 100 people from multiple location. During that time, I learn a lot of the type of interaction that is required to move Software Development under a well architecture infrastructure. This experience help me understand difficulties in private cloud hosting that leads to business capability to be market oriented.I have more than 20y of experience in the IT space and I'm consider in my world a Telecommunication Engineer, people believe that I'm graduated or in Information Technology or in Engineering, where in reality my background is Business Economics school. This background give me the capability to understand better what's the real business needs and the real difficult of the public cloud world.In the last 10y I works with MAG cloud provider (MAG is a new common terms that identify the top 3 public cloud provider: Microsoft, Amazon, Google). I'm more than strong on Microsoft and Amazon with less practical experience on Google. I'm not certified with any of those cloud provider also if i can easily get the certification, but my perception is that those kind of certification program aren't really trustful, and I can explain why this certification doesn't help you to understand the complexity that is behind the cloud adoption.In this days I work in the context of enterprise adoption of public clouds where their planned cloud spend is over Millions $ per each month. With covid-19 pandemics the grown of interest in the cloud adoption is increased but many business company are not ready to make this adoption smooth and easy, also because short time of implementation doesn't guide to adoption of best practices that requires bigger changes in the IT and Business Organisations. One things that company that want to approach public cloud should always take in consideration is that public cloud is not a static environment like Private Cloud and the operating model should always adjust to the architecture of the IT.
