Initiative for Genome Editing and Neurodegeneration (IGEN) lab at HMS:• Generated and designed engineered stem cell, immortalized and cancer cell lines using CRISPR-based gene-editing for laboratories across the cell biology department• Designed and optimized genetic engineering SOPs of human pluripotent stem cells (ESCs, iPSCs) anddifferentiation protocols to specialize into ectoderm and mesoderm lineages• Produced and purified recombinant proteins, including FGF, Cas9 and CpF1, and vectors (AAV, Piggybacktransposon) used by laboratories in the cell biology department• Collaborated with cross-functional teams and provided assistance and guidance with projects based onmolecular biology, genome-editing, stem cell biology, and neurodegenerative diseases• Performed, analyzed, and troubleshooted experiments involving DNA sequencing, library preparation,molecular biology techniques, and cell culture on a daily basis• Managed hands-on user training and daily maintenance of specialized laboratory equipment for sequencing(MiSeq), microscopy (EVOS) and single cell sorting (SONY)
