My responsibilities included day to day process troubleshooting, data analysis, identifying and developing process control mechanisms, working with the laboratory to analyze process samples, and executing projects in support of the capital plan. I was a lead for the Continuous Cost Improvement program at the plant where I held monthly meetings with management, operations, and maintenance teams to identify cost reduction projects and track the progress of the proposed projects. My team identified projects with savings of $321,000 for 2016. I successfully completed a project for the Six Sigma Green Belt Certification in which I justified that the optimization of an existing steam de-superheater in the powerhouse could increase production by 8 ktons. I used many Six Sigma techniques in this project and became proficient in statistical analysis which I have continued to use and develop.
