• Manage, Supervise, and coordinate the City of Colorado Springs’ Recruiting, Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion, and Organizational Development programs, services, activities, and operations• Plan, coordinate, and implement diverse programs and trainings that connect employees with City’s strategic goals• Identify needs and create objectives to meet Recruiting goals• Acts as the Center of Expertise in Recruiting, Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion, and Organizational Development at the direction of the Chief Human Resources and Risk Officer and Assistant Director of Human Resources.• Oversees project plans, workflows, and well-rounded and professional HR programs with stakeholder input• Manages internal and external communications, marketing, and reporting to inform various stakeholders of progress in Recruiting, Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion, and Organizational Development• Collaborates with other Centers of Expertise, Departments, and City Leadership• As a member of the Human Resources Leadership Team, participates in leadership activities such as project planning, budget planning, and stakeholder and peer feedback• Manage staff in their area of assignment by hiring, promoting, assigning, coaching, and disciplining employees• Manage staff performance coordinating staff development, certifications, and training of employees• Determine priorities of Recruiting, Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion, and Organizational Development programs and work through change management, when needed• Serve as a resource and to the Diversity and Community Outreach Programs Manager to provide information between the City and citizens pertaining to Equity Diversity and Inclusion efforts

Responsible for:• Build and implement diverse programs and trainings that connect employees with City’s strategic goals• Assist and coordinate project plan work: Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion and Talent Management• Assist departments and create inclusive training programs, tools, and materials to improve employee skills• Develop team-building exercises, employee and leadership trainings, and find resources for the integrity and consistency between and within teams• Stay abreast with organizational development and Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion trends• Identify performance gaps and determine training needs and necessary adaptations for support • Support performance management system to align with organizational growth• Consult with management and other leadership to identify and recommend improvements• Create documents and build capacities of others of essential functions • Build positive work-oriented relationships of varying departments and outside vendors

Responsible for:• Develop, plan, and reinforce school/district vision of culture to create an inclusive and welcoming climate• Supervise, manage, and train approximately 80 employees every school year• Strategically plan to ensure data driven systems are in place for improved academic achievement• Establish and refine expectations for instructional practices and assessment to increase innovative practices• Facilitate learning communities that provide collaboration & teacher learning and development• Collaborate with colleagues and other stakeholders to drive development and implementation of initiatives• Create, prepare, and initiate new-employee training/orientation to align with school expectations and mission• Oversee processes that supported compliance with Assessments, development of 504 plans and Individual Literacy Plans, and Multi-tiered System of Supports processes• Serve as a hiring manager to seek highly qualified employees – at school and district levels• Provide guidance and oversaw branding and marketing plan to align with school mission/vision

Responsible for:• Facilitate development of Next Generation Learning techniques that supports Unified School Improvement Plan and Personalized Learning Plans• Provide quality, embedded professional development to staff for improvement of student achievement• Collaborate with district and school staff to increase capacity of innovative practices• Act as a department liaison with Department of Defense representatives, Instruction, Curriculum, & Student Services, Technology Services, and Colorado Department of Education• Assist in facilitation of Next Generation Learning Challenges Grant for whole school implementation

Responsible for:• Facilitate development of Personalized Learning Plan to support the school’s Unified Improvement Plan • Serve as an active contributor to school and district level leadership teams (Building Leadership Team, School Cabinet, Recruitment Committee, Personalized Learning)• Collaborate with administrative & instructional staff to guide instruction through student assessment data• Ensure that basic technical assistance and support is provided to students and staff in a timely manner• Manage and maintain social media to maximize community involvement and communication

Responsible for:• Observe, review, and evaluate student assessment performance• Analyze assessment data to drive standard-based teaching for grade-level curriculum• Adapt teaching methods and instructional strategies to meet student needs• Administer assessment materials in order to evaluate student progress
