Valerie is the Vice President for Administration and Communications at the Massachusetts Competitive Partnership (MACP) where she manages the calendars of the c-suite, schedules Director meetings, leads communications efforts, runs internal human resources and accounting needs, and conducts research as needed. She also manages any administrative needs for the business. Valerie joined MACP in 2012 as the Office Manager and was promoted to her current position in 2013.While working at MACP, Valerie has stayed involved in one of her passions - field marketing. She has been in the field for over 10 years and is an experienced leader. Valerie began her career in field marketing while in college as one of Vita Coco's first Student Brand Managers. Valerie's passion for interacting with and educating others continued and grew when she joined the KIND Field Marketing team in 2014, where she was able to both educate consumers about the brand and give back to the community, one of KIND's tenets. Because of her attention to detail, outgoing personality, and professionalism, Valerie spent her time at both companies in team leadership positions.Valerie attended Northeastern University for her undergraduate education, earning her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in Music Industry. She graduated magna cum laude from the School of Business Administration in 2011. Valerie held many titles in Northeastern's chapter of the American Marketing Association, including President, Vice President of Programming, and Vice President of Membership and Communications. As a leader in this organization, Valerie helped to re-engage the chapter with the national association, earning many awards under her tenure. Valerie helped to start a chapter of Pi Sigma Epsilon at the school and held the title of President in her senior year. As a lover of her community and giving back to others, Valerie joined the Big Sister Association of Greater Boston as a Big Sister in 2015 and enjoys the opportunity she has to mentor her Little Sister. Valerie resides on the South Shore with her much-loved French Bulldog, Truffles.
