I worked directly with the Director for Education and the General Manager on the Foundation’s international cooperation strategy. This included building and maintaining relationships with regional and international donor organisations in order to obtain resources and know-how for the projects we had in education, nutrition, sports and entrepreneurship. I was responsible for the research and all international grant applications, which provided me with broad overview of the international development sector worldwide, and in specific in Latin America. As it was a relatively new position without a team, I proposed a restructuring and more strategic approach to international cooperation, by integrating it more closely to the activities of all teams. By the end I achieved a significantly expanded database, several new partnerships and advanced negotiations with number of potential donors.

I led a team of five, responsible for the strategic development and operations of the Bulgarian office of the world’s largest student organisation. Within our one-year term we achieved 81% growth in the organisational results (realised international exchanges). I was final responsible for the design and execution of the annual plan and its implementation in the seven local offices, which developed my coaching, facilitation and problem-solving skills. I managed the finances of the organisation, which included a budget of 60K EUR, tracking, reporting and audit coordination. My responsibilities included external relations – supporting the business development team in maintaining the relationships with key corporate and governmental partners, as well as the coordination of the Board of Advisors meetings. Additionally I coordinated the applications, implementation and reporting of two projects within the “Youth in Action” EU programme.This position provided me with an incredible chance to take a top leadership position at 23 and develop key competencies in decision making, team management, result orientation and change management.Annual Report: http://issuu.com/aiesecbulgaria/docs/aiesec_in_bulgaria_annual_report_2009-2010

In this one-year term position I was the Manager for the Global Exchange Programme of AIESEC in Bulgaria. This involved facilitating a planning process to ensure continuous growth in results and initiatives to shift towards more result-oriented organisational culture. Despite all challenges we achieved 14% growth in results and managed to innovate how the Exchange Programme was implemented in Bulgaria. I was final responsible for two recruitment campaigns for students in 15 Universities, the overall sales strategy of local offices and for monthly tracking and reporting of results. I was involved in the planning and facilitation of more than 10 conferences and events, one of which I was project manager of. My responsibilities included ensuring the compliance of the Programme with national legislation, as well as the coordination of projects within the “Youth in Action” EU programme.

From the beginning of my University studies I have been actively involved as volunteer of AIESEC in the local office in Svishtov. I worked with foreign exchange participants' reception, relations with local companies, promotional campaigns and recruitment of volunteers, fund-raising activities. In 2007 I was elected for President of the local office, where I led a team of three volunteers, managed the relations with the University, and was responsible for the planning and growth strategies.
