Worked in a team of five on a five-week project with Pivigo and Cobalt Housing (Liverpool) to identify unsustainable tenancies. Programming stack included Jupyter notebooks in Python (Pandas, Matplotlib, Seaborn, Scikit-Learn) and Git/GitHub for version control. Found and communicated to Cobalt factors such as tenant characteristics and property information that were linked to tenancies lasting less than 12 months. Also co-developed a machine learning pipeline to identify tenancies that will fall behind in rent payments in the next 12 weeks (given the current tenancy status) to 65% accuracy (maximising recall). A traffic light system (red, amber, green) was used to show and prioritise the tenancies to focus on.Chaired a Q&A session on Natural Language Processing, in particular sparking debate on topics such as chat bots and fake news generation.

Undertook 6-week project with Ogden Trust to test models of cosmological inflation against known data.Self-taught programming language, Fortran, writing script to calculate quantities for our modelsBecame proficient in Linux, using web-based course to learn the command line. Also learned Mathematica for performing calculations and solving complex equations. Delivered speech with Q&A at end of placement, getting high praise and sparking large discussion on the topic. Invited to continue working on the project throughout this year.

Part-time work during summer of 2012 and 2013.Assisted the clerical team to create orders for patient scans on an online system, prioritising those most urgent, particularly in MRI.Trained the members to digitise old films and burn images of scans onto CDs. Demonstrated this on a one-to-one basis, answering questions and encouraging staff to practise with my guidance. Received praise for my patience and clear explanations.
