Securing digital data is probably the greatest challenge computer scientist and enterprises face together in the early XXIst.In 2012 I run into the opportunity of creating a startup to develop a completely new way of securing data on the cloud: SMiD Cloud.I didn’t hesitate: SMiD is a plug&play device that encrypts locally your data, in a way that once on the cloud, your information is absolutely unreadable. Such a great solution for hospitals, lawyers, institutions, and all other business with data security concerns had to be developed. And we have done it! Together with five of the best computer security specialists of Madrid, we have launched the device and it's working great! Judge for yourself visiting SMiD Cloud.Before becoming a tech-entrepreneur I worked at Johnson & Johnson as Coordinator of Professional Programs in the Department of Marketing and later, for three years, as Training Manager at Korres Spain. I've got a degree in Biology and a PhD in Molecular and Cell Biology for research work with plant species with an interest in food and bioenergy industry. As a result of this stage in the world of scientific and applied research, I co-authored several original articles published in international scientific journals, a book and two international patents.
