Software Engineer
Current- Actively led the conceptualization and development of scalable and reliable systems through strategic architectural design, ensuring robust and efficient solutions for a cutting-edge investment platform spanning 12 countries with over $450 billion in investment assets used by major insurance agencies and financial institutions in Canada and abroad;- Continuously engineered, created, and sustained server-side backend applications, encompassing the entire lifecycle from design and development to ongoing maintenance using such tools and languages but not limited to: Java, Spring Boot, Java EE, Vue, React;- Spearheaded database operations, modelling structures, storing information, and implementing efficient retrieval processes to manage and optimize data interactions.- Coordinated collaborative initiatives, promptly resolving multiple high-priority issues and enhancing client satisfaction through efficient problem-solving and continuous client-engineering meetings to ensure utmost satisfaction with the product;- Introduced numerous measures to guarantee the reliability and idempotence of backend processes, ensuring consistent and fault-tolerant operations. Ensured testing of the software using unit testing (JUnit 5), automation testing (Selenium/Selenide), integration testing;- Guided and supported other engineers, providing valuable insights and fostering professional development within the team.
