Heroes Lodge Project, Inc. is a Texas 501C3 non-profit an American G.I. Forum of Texas Project - Chartered by Congress, and Celebrating 75 years of vital services and civil rights for our Veterans. Heroes Lodge Project is a network of Veterans residential facilities and elder care living in Texas. Our organization has secured 135 acres on US 183, near Burleson Rd and ABIA to modernization our American G.I. Forum National Veterans Outreach Program (www.agif-nvop.org) creating a hub of services. The Burleson Road/US 183 area in east Austin is near the Austin VA Veterans Outreach Clinic, Texas Veterans Commission, Veterans Administration, and the Texas Workforce Commission. Our organization believes this location is a future Veteran’s metroplex in the making for Austin. Heroes Lodge plans a services center, and one and two bedroom affordable housing apartments exclusively for Veterans. Heroes Lodge Project accepts affordable housing guidelines established by HUD/VASH, and will partner with City of Austin housing coordinators and local non-profits’ that service Veterans and their families. In addition, Heroes Lodge plans a state of the art conference center and training center to advocate for Veterans jobs, trade training, education, benefits, sustainable housing options and networked PTS counseling.
