Val Petrone is a Los Angeles based writer and production coordinator from just outside of Chicago, Illinois. They’ve been interested in animation since they first developed a crush on Inspector Gadget, and writing for audiences since they were a 10 year old with internet access. They’re invested in stories that balance their love of comedy and action while also exploring themes of hope, varying family dynamics, and communal responses to challenges. When not working, Val loves to skateboard, teach themselves Polish, and take care of their cacti. They’ve studied animation, comedy, and sketch writing at Upright Citizens Brigade, Pack Theater, the Ruby LA, and the Sketch School. Val has had the opportunity to be selected for the 2022-2023 session of the internal Disney Television Animation Writer's Program, ran by Sofy Solomon, and is an award winning podcaster a part of A Horror Borealis' "Losers: A Love Story" and "AHB Side Stories" projects.
