I graduated in Mechanical Engineering from Regional Engineering College, Trichy in 1984. I have also done my Masters in Financial Management from Bajaj institute, Mumbai. I started my career in Godrej & Boyce Mfg. co as an EDP officer. After working there for 4 years, I moved to BNP Paribas, a French Bank in their EDP. Having joined the bank in its nascent stage of computerization, I have brought it to the present level of technological competence. From a basic single branch semi-automated environment, I converted it to a multi-branch operation set-up with full-fledged inter-connectivity besides developing efficient systems and processing platforms. My major contributions include the core banking solutions, e-banking portal, Incident and Risk Management systems, Credit reporting, imaging and Work-flow solution, etc. I was responsible for the Solution deliveries of the various Transversal IT systems across Asia Pacific Technology division within the Consultancy arm of BNP Paribas group, heading the Indian development team for the Local and Transversal applications. I also managed the new Collaboration Platform Shared Services Group, within BNP Paribas ISPL, responsible for all IT solutions using Sharepoint and other Knowledge sharing systems across the entire BNP Paribas Group .I subsequently moved to the global HR application development and support centre set up within ISPL.In my last role at BNP Paribas, I was responsible for ensuring client and personal data protection in line with the global standards like GDPR, CNIL, etc. and sustenance of Operation risk related Permanent controls for the India solutions captive subsidiary .
