Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Val came to the U.S. to study at the University of Miami in 1996, graduating with a Bachelors degree in Communications and with a double major in Film Production and Graphic Design. When she is not working, Val enjoys boating, playing in the Florida sunshine with her golden doodle, Rumba, cooking, enjoying the many amazing South Florida restaurants and taking in art shows, concerts and spending time with friends. In addition to her professional pursuits, Val is deeply committed to giving back to her community and is a founding member of the LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance where she sat on the National Board for two year until 2022. The organization, which is the only 506c non-profit in real estate, was launched during the pandemic in 2020 and today boasts more than 3,000 members. They are the recipient of the prestigious Innovator Award by Inman Magazine.
