I'm passionate about problem solving, technology, motorsports and cycling! What motivates me is to be constantly challenged and feel that I bring value to the team and, consequently, to the company I work for, being able to deliver solutions and/or products on time and with quality. I am currently working at Crossjoin since November 2019. Between Nov 2019 and May 2021, I was part of the Crossjoin Competence Center team, ensuring the solution for performance challenges in diverse technologies (such as Linux, Oracle, Java, AWS) in various complex IT systems. Then, I did a small break between June and November 2021, I returned to work on my academic field working at Synopsys as Analog and Mixed Signal Design Engineer, where I developed Real Number Models for simulation of data transmitters and receivers PHYs for different communication protocols (I2C, SPI, HDMI, USB, etc). During this journey, the most used technologies/tools were Verilog, Python, Preforce, VCS and Wave Viewer. In Dec 2021, I returned to Crossjoin as Senior Performance Consultant, integrating the Competence Team and also as Technical Service Manager (TSM) in some important clients. Since mid of 2022, I am leading and managing the delivery of Performance Services for a telco client which is migrating their BSS stack from legacy systems to Amdocs stack (which is mostly based in Weblogic, Java, Oracle DBs and using AppDynamics as E2E monitoring tool and APM).From an academic prespective, I took my bachelor’s degree in Industrial Electronics and Computers Engineering at Universidade do Minho (UM) in 2017. Posteriorly, I finished the master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), in 2019, with specializations in Electronics (major) and Computers (minor). As a master student at IST, I did a part-time at IObundle, a startup company which built "The architecture for an agile world"! I lived this experience during a Summer Internship in 2018, which extended to a part-time job while I completed my Master Thesis entitled "Deep Versat: A Deep Coarse Grain Reconfigurable Array". Beyond the thesis, I participated in varied international projects, of which stands out the development of a real time MP3 codec using Embedded C and accelerating the algorithm in hardware with field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs).
