Responsible for implementing strategy, day to day operations and coordinating and managing various projects and activities that are of benefit to the Higher Education Information Technology sector in South Africa. IT career started in 1989 as a developer and worked in the insurance sector before entering into the higher education space in 1998. Has managed SMEs in the sector and consulted directly to a number of universities. Represents the twenty-six public universities of South Africa on various forums and committees.Skills and experience include:• Extensive IT experience ranging from programming to executive management roles,• Higher education sector specialist working directly and indirectly with the public universities of SA• SME management experience running both profit and non-profit companies,• Broad programme and project management experience,• Excellent vendor management and negotiation skills.
