Kate is a creative facilitator who is passionate about helping not-for-profit organizations thrive. She is currently a fundraising coach and works freelance on a project-by-project basis.Kate most recently developed a multi-year corporate partnership strategy for the Art Gallery of Ontario and managed a team of corporate giving and events specialists. Before that, she was a Director of Development at Harbourfront Centre (a multidisciplinary arts centre at the heart of Toronto’s waterfront) where she developed a Major Gifts strategy and led an industry-leading sponsorship portfolio delivering demonstrable ROI for major Canadian brands. Kate has worked in the not-for-profit sector for over 15 years specializing in arts fundraising and museum curatorship. Her wealth of fundraising experience draws from roles held at various major Canadian arts institutions such as the Shaw Festival, the Canadian Opera Company and the Edmonton Symphony. She also worked in the UK for 7 years and brings a different perspective to the Canadian market from working with the Manchester Art Gallery, the Edinburgh International Film Festival and Glasgow Life on the new Zaha Hadid designed Riverside Museum. Kate holds a Masters in Art Gallery and Museum Studies from the University of Manchester and an Honours B.A. in Cultural Management from the University of Waterloo.
