In 2017 I built a bespoke website for a European company that wanted to greatly improve the UX by using modern web technologies to create a significantly faster and robust search capability, real-time product filters, and an automatic PDF creation feature from the product page, without needing to pre-render PDF files. Additionally, Chinese language was incorporated to enable the site to be used by their Chinese customers. I chose Node.js and MongoDB for its overall robustness, and flexibility.
