Since childhood, I’ve been captivated by the structures and constructions that shape our surroundings. Growing up, this fascination evolved into a love for math and physics, guiding me toward a career in civil and structural engineering. For me, this profession is not just about designing buildings; it’s about creating safe, resilient structures that enhance communities and stand the test of time.After completing my Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from JNT University in India, I began my career as an intern at S Kumar Architects & Engineers. This role gave me a strong foundation in structural analysis, design, and project coordination. Working on a range of projects—such as hospitals, office buildings, and multi-story RCC and steel structures—honed my skills in calculating structural loads, designing with STAAD Pro, and estimating project costs. These hands-on experiences cemented my passion for engineering and inspired me to seek advanced knowledge abroad.To broaden my expertise, I moved to Australia to pursue a Master’s in Engineering Science (Structural Engineering) at the University of Southern Queensland. My studies provided in-depth technical knowledge and taught me the value of sustainable practices and adherence to Australian design standards, principles that are central to my work.Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to work with DBT Consulting Engineers and Residential Engineering. In these roles, I’ve grown as a professional, mastering skills across various facets of structural engineering, from slab and framing design to compliance inspections and site instruction. I’ve led compliance projects, conducted geotechnical assessments, and worked on retaining walls and drainage design, always with a focus on safety and attention to detail. Collaborating with clients, architects, and senior engineers has further sharpened my communication skills and strengthened my commitment to delivering high-quality results.As a Civil and Structural Engineer, I’m driven by a commitment to sustainable, innovative, and cost-effective solutions. With five years of experience and a wide project portfolio, I’m passionate about building structures that exceed industry standards and make a lasting, positive impact. My goal remains to contribute to projects that prioritize safety, resilience, and community value, continuing to build a better world—one structure at a time.
