I worked at SOFO Designs as a Junior Architect( Intern) in my college years. Here were the days I explored the practical way of applying design to the real world. I also learned soft skills from clients to the people who work on the ground. This gave me vast exposure in terms of decision making and going ahead with the choice that I make with confidence. Of course there were mistakes. But there were confined to the design phase. I learn from them and while the execution comes, it becomes completely rectified and ready to go. When it comes to my line of work as an intern, it includes 1. preparing models for a particular municipal authority.2. drafting given plans by the Principal Architect.3. Working on electrical layout for the given plan.4. Drafting Sections for the given plan.5. Coming up with different elevation design options for a particular building.6. Drafting finalized elevation designs of a project.7. Working on 3D models to give a clear cut clarity to the client.8. Inspecting the work by visiting the site with senior Architect.The above works were done on residential level. Group Level housing and Commercial Level Office spaces. The Experience that I got from this internship was unique from design point of view. People can have different creative ideas, but how a designer a designs keeping the whole makes the design feasible. It is a life time experience. I'm glad that I involved in different areas of design.
