My responsibilities include defining strategy for VSoft's product lines globally, establishing a product planning and control process, communicating roadmaps to internal and external stakeholders and drawing up product marketing strategies.In short, taking an idea from "mind to market".

VSoft Corporation is a US-based global provider of software products and services in the domains of core banking and payment processing. VSoft Techologies Pvt. Ltd was established in 2004 as the Indian arm.- Joined as the second employee and helped set up the organization. Over eight years, we built a strong cross-functional technology innovation team of over a hundred and fifty professionals. - Led teams across the core banking and payment domains, building, launching and marketing new core banking and payment processing products in the US and APAC market.- Led business transformation efforts in partnership with banks in the US and India to implement and evangelize complex technology solutions for core business processes.- Over eight years, revenues grew three-fold, our core banking product won the cover page slot and the Annual Innovators Award (2010) of Bank Technology News and attrition was remarkably low.Served as President of VServe (India) for a brief period. VServe is the managed services division of VSoft Corporation, a global provider of software products and services for the financial marketplace.- Led a hand-picked team of people comprising operations, product management, implementation, infrastructure management and HR and launched efforts to improve the division's performance.- Provided outsourced image-enabled payment processing services across all major cities in India to banks of all sizes.

iLabs is an early-stage investor and an incubator of innovation-driven businesses. Bio-informatics was one of the areas that iLabs invested in. - Joined the team at an early stage and helped drive product development in conjunction with sales partners and customers based out of the US and the UK. - Set up systems and policies that had a salutory effect on employee retention and knowledge management.- Was the lead co-ordinator for partnership programs with key scientific bodies. Three scientific papers and multiple products were developed over a period of three years.- Led efforts in product marketing and communications.I was then moved to another division in incubation that was in the process of launching the state's first 24 by 7 News Channel (TV9). I was part of a four-membered setup team that helped launch the channel successfully.

It was the age of the dotcom. A couple of friends from IIM Calcutta and I launched what was possibly India's first gaming site that had a virtual currency concept. We failed to sustain our efforts beyond a year but the experience is cherished by us as most memorable.

I led sales and marketing efforts at Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam for a year each. After my first year, I was adjudged one of the four best trainees, for my stint at Vijayawada. In my very first independent stint at Visakhapatnam, I uncovered fraud being committed by a senior functionary and was instrumental in getting him removed. The team that I led in those days continue to be very good friends through the years.
