Technology & Product development using materials and innovations as key for enabling exciting new products

Worked in the area of multilayer polymer ballistics, understanding material properties, which drive high speed impact driven behavior of polymer composites made using transparent sheets of materials. Tasks included- Material characterisation- Failure analysis and identification of the highspped impacted panels, tested using projectiles- characterisation of failure modes, and differentiating between ductile/brittle modes of fracture- Rate dependent behavior of materials/polymers- Polycarbonate, Polymethyl Methacrylate, copolymers - Morphology and rate dependency of these materials in the case of an impact event(impact event was done at an external institute)

Advanced composite fabrication for Ten Cate Corporate.

Tasks: Upgrading a lab scale production of microspheres into a production scale for Emultech B.V. SEM analysis of sample microspheres produced using microfluidic technologies. Literature work and supporting the technical team in day to day tasks.Supervisor: ir. Robijn.D.Bruijn

Active involvement in the development and design of formulations for friction materials based on thermoset resins, mainly for export customers.

Worked on a project titled "A study on the crosslink-densities and network structure of press cured and different tire samples". This was meant as an analysis of failure in tread compounds being compounded in the company. This was done under the guidance of Mr. Shanawas C.K, Manager compounding, CEAT Tyres India Limited, Bhandup, Mumbai
